Στο πλαίσιο του ευρωπαϊκού προγράμματος Erasmus+ ΚΑ122, με τίτλο "We envision, we set high goals! We accept the world and evolve!", το 13ο Γυμνάσιο Ηρακλείου συμμετείχε επιτυχώς στο εκπαιδευτικό επιμορφωτικό σεμινάριο «The PositiveTeacher» που πραγματοποιήθηκε από τον φορέα Smart Teachers Play More στο Ρέικιαβικ της Ισλανδίας, από 17/08/2025 έως 23/08/2025. Τo σχολείο εκπροσώπησαν οι καθηγήτριες του σχολείου: Καμπιτάκη Αργυρώ – ΠΕ78, Κουζούλογλου Γαρυφαλιά-ΠΕ03ΕΑΕ, Πλασταρά Αικατερίνη–ΠΕ86.
During the training, participants attended a comprehensive program with experiential workshops, visits to educational sites and places of geological significance, as well as an exchange of good practices with educators from various European countries. The seminar highlighted the importance of mindfulness and a positive attitude in education, providing techniques for creating a calm and supportive learning environment. At the same time, reference was made to strategies for self-awareness and mental resilience, with particular emphasis on the role of values, which are essential elements in the educational process.
Part of the experience included a visit to a school in Reykjavik, where participants had the opportunity to see the Icelandic educational model firsthand. This model combines theoretical knowledge with practical application and prioritises cooperation, creativity, autonomy and self-motivation among students.
The seminar enhanced teachers' knowledge and skills so that they can contribute to further improving the school climate and emotional support for their students. The goal is to create a school that promotes mental resilience, personal development, positive thinking, good interpersonal relationships, and the joy of learning.
